TUBI DEBUTS BUILDERS PROGRAM TO DEVELOP FUTURE TECH LEADERS
The Tubi Builders Program Will Drive Innovation From Tubi’s New San Francisco Headquarters Opening This Fall
San Francisco, CA – August 7, 2025 –Tubi (www.tubitv.com), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced the Tubi Builders Program, an 18-month rotational initiative designed to develop the next generation of product and engineering leaders, and the opening of a new office in San Francisco this Fall. Tubi offers free streaming for fandoms through a personalized experience within the world’s largest collection of movies and TV episodes including hundreds of exclusive originals.
“At Tubi we’re building the future of entertainment technology and we’re excited to invest in the city of San Francisco, where our business began over a decade ago, with a new office and our Builders Program” said Mike Bidgoli, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Tubi. “The Tubi Builders Program is our investment in the next generation of technologists. It reflects our belief that innovation thrives when fresh perspectives meet real opportunity.”
Tubi Builders program offers participants hands-on experience, technical mentorship and career acceleration across software engineering, machine learning and product management tracks. Following 18 months in the program, participants will have the opportunity to transition into full-time roles at Tubi. The Builders Program is a long-term investment in cultivating bold thinkers and boundary-pushers to help shape the next chapter of entertainment technology, developed in partnership with Tubi’s People team.
“We believe in creating opportunities for new grads to break into the workforce,” said Natasha Valani, Chief People Officer at Tubi. “We’re excited to empower this exceptional inaugural cohort to innovate with our product and engineering teams.”
Tubi selected a group of 20 talented individuals to form its inaugural cohort selected from a pool of 11,000 applicants nationwide. Candidates went through a competitive multi-step process—including personal video statements, technical assessments and interviews with senior leaders. Each participant rotates through three six-month assignments across their chosen track—Associate Product Manager, Associate Software Engineer or Associate Machine Learning Engineer—and gains exposure to different teams and technical challenges. While working with a different manager for each rotation, all participants are paired with a dedicated mentor from Tubi’s engineering and product team for the duration of the program.
In tandem with the program’s debut, Tubi is opening a new headquarters in San Francisco. The San Francisco HQ is Tubi’s largest office and home to its core product and engineering teams. Designed for increased collaboration, the space will continue to serve as the company’s HQ and will be the primary base for the Tubi Builders Program inaugural cohort.
Tubi recently announced Tubi for Creators, a new program designed to accelerate Tubi’s investment in bringing more original stories from talented creators to its audience of over 100 million monthly active viewers. This May at NewFronts, Tubi’s product team rolled out new ad formats, including immersive homepage takeovers and AI driven tech that enables brands’ ad creative to appear in the most relevant content moments during a viewer’s journey.

UPCOMING TUBI ORIGINAL YA ROMANTIC COMEDY FILM
“KISSING IS THE EASY PART”
Jennifer Robertson Also Joins the Cast with Fawzia Mirza Set to Direct and Executive Produce As Tubi Continues to Add to Young Adult Programming Slate
SAN FRANCISCO, July 10, 2025 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced Paris Berelc (Alexa & Katie) will star opposite Asher Angel (Shazam! Fury of the Gods) in the Tubi Original YA Romantic Comedy Film KISSING IS THE EASY PART. Jennifer Robertson (Ginny & Georgia) also joins the cast as Angel’s mother. Fawzia Mirza (The Queen of my Dreams) is set to direct the film, which is based on the popular Wattpad webnovel (currently at 31.9 million reads) of the same name by Christine Duann adapted by Rebecca Webb. Both Berelc and Mirza also serve as executive producers.
Berelc is set to play “Flora,” the effortlessly cool girl everyone at school knows – popular, funny, unpredictable and opinionated – who resists the academic path her parents envision for her and creates a connection with her tutor, “Sean” (Angel), that forces her to question everything she thought she knew about herself, love and her own potential. Robertson plays “Erin,” a warm and kind single mother raising her kids after the passing of her late husband who welcomes “Flora” into her family and watches with joy as her son (Angel) finds love for the first time.
“I’ve always wanted to make a classic high school romcom, so it’s a dream to be directing KISSING IS THE EASY PART with Asher, Paris and our amazing cast and crew. Now more than ever, we need films that center joy, love and possibility, and I can’t wait for audiences to fall in love with KISSING and be reminded of the power of the romcom,” said director Fawzia Mirza.
“We are delighted to welcome Paris, Jennifer, and this talented ensemble cast as they join Asher in breathing life into these charming and dynamic characters,” said Adam Lewinson, Tubi’s Chief Content Officer. “With Fawzia’s unique vision guiding the narrative, this heartfelt love story promises to connect deeply with young audiences, and fits in perfectly with our young adult slate of original movies.”
The romantic comedy tells the story of a straight-A overachiever who makes a deal to tutor a popular wild child in exchange for a college recommendation letter to his dream school, but when sparks fly, school is the least of their problems. The film was previously announced at Fox Upfront as part of Tubi’s young adult programming slate. Additional cast includes Tom Keat (Fear Street: Prom Queen), Hayley Festeryga (This Time), Roshahn Dhoré (Adults), Mark Ballantyne (The Way Home), Rosalie Turmel (Cirkus) and Sorika Wolf (Fargo).
KISSING IS THE EASY PART is produced by WEBTOON Productions’ David Madden, Jason Goldberg, and Wattpad President Aron Levitz. Asher Angel executive produces, as well as Berelc, Mirza, Rebecca Webb, and Blue Ice Pictures’ Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, and Samantha Levine.
