TUBI TO LAUNCH MATTER CASTING ON FIRE TV
Introducing Frictionless, Secure Casting With The Industry’s New Cross-Device Standard
SAN FRANCISCO, December 11, 2025 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced it will become the first streaming platform to trigger app download on FireTV and launch via Matter Casting, a next-generation casting standard enabling seamless mobile-to-TV viewing. With Matter Casting, viewers can cast Tubi content directly from iOS and Android devices to Fire TV, no separate app installation required. The launch reflects Tubi’s dedication to effortless entertainment, offering a personalized, cross-platform experience enabling viewers to discover more than 300,000 on-demand movies and TV episodes.

With Matter Casting, users can launch and control Tubi on Fire TV directly from their mobile device to the living room without needing to initiate downloads, sign-ins, or setup. Matter Casting handles automatic app installation, secure sign-in, and real-time playback control, creating a true over-the-top (OTT) experience rather than a temporary screen mirror. Developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) and championed by Amazon, Matter Casting replaces legacy casting technologies with a frictionless, secure, and fully native OTT session. This launches next week and will be available globally by the end of the month on select Fire TV devices, such as Fire TV Stick 4k Max, Fire TV Omni QLED Series, Fire TV Omni Mini-LED, and Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen).
Tubi continues to put fans first engaging fandoms through the familiar and adventurous. Recently Tubi premiered SIDELINED 2: INTERCEPTED starring Noah Beck and Siena Agudong and over the past six months added more than 10,000 episodes of creator-led content to the platform aimed at younger, mobile-first audiences.
