SAN FRANCISCO, September 21, 2022 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), today announced its lineup for the resurrection of “Terror on Tubi,” a month-long streaming celebration beginning October 1st of 13,000 spooky, eerie, thrilling, creepy and terrifying titles that fans love to indulge in around Halloween. Creeping into the catalog of Tubi’s scary good streams are six brand-new Tubi Originals that will debut throughout October, ranging from beastly and chilling documentaries to slasher and thriller films, including ALONE IN THE DARK (October 7); BATTLE OF THE BEASTS: BIGFOOT VS. YETI (October 12); THE FINAL ROSE (October 14); a remake of the cult classic TERROR TRAIN (October 21); LIGHTS, CAMERA, MURDER: SCREAM (October 26), and A PARTY TO DIE FOR (October 28). 

“Terror on Tubi” will also offer timeless Halloween content, from spooky seasonal titles to horror film buff favorites, totaling 27,000 hours of movies and TV shows, including horror films such as Stephen King’s “It,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “Hellraiser,” and “Twilight Zone: The Movie” as well as thrillers such as “Interview with the Vampire,” “Silence of the Lambs,” “Predators,” and more. Tubi Originals previously launched on the service will also be a part of the scares, including REQUIEM FOR A SCREAM, TITANIC 666, ERADICATION, TOW, TEARDROP, UNBORN, HELLBLAZERS, HARLAND MANOR, CELEBRITY EXORCISM, and FAMOUSLY HAUNTED: AMITYVILLE, among others.

  • ALONE IN THE DARK (launching October 7)

A recent divorcée under house arrest must deal with a stalker that appears to have control over her surroundings.

From MarVista Entertainment, Bri (Novi Brown, “Sistas”) is a recent divorcée who is forced to live under house arrest following her ex-husband Michael’s (Christopher Bencomo, “The Rookie”) crimes. She must deal with uncovering the truth after she encounters an elusive stalker who appears to have control over her surroundings. Also starring Kimberly Daugherty (“A Christmas Movie Christmas”), Terrell Carter (“Empire”) and Malcolm Goodwin (“Reacher”), ALONE IN THE DARK is directed by Brant Daugherty (“Pretty Little Liars”), and co-written by Daugherty and wife, Kimberly. The film is executive produced by Marianne C. Wunch (“A Job to Die For”), Larry Grimaldi (“The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay”), Hannah Pillemer (“Stay Awake”), and Fernando Szew (“Rounding”) with David Sweeney (“In A Relationship”). 

  • BATTLE OF THE BEASTS: BIGFOOT VS. YETI (launching October 12)

Bigfoot and Yeti go toe-to-toe in the ultimate showdown. Who will come out on top? Two beasts enter, only one will survive!

From Fox Alternative Entertainment comes an epic fight-to-the-death between Bigfoot and Yeti. In a tale-of-the-tape unlike any before, these mega monsters of myth are analyzed for their strengths, weaknesses, fighting styles and ferocity.  Bigfoot and Yeti go toe-to-toe in the ultimate showdown. Who will come out on top? Two beasts enter, only one will survive!

  • THE FINAL ROSE (launching October 14)

A young single mother arrives on a remote island to compete on The Final Rose, TV’s number one dating show, and slowly discovers that a mysterious killer is slaying the contestants, one by one.

  • TERROR TRAIN (launching October 21)

Based on the 1980 cult classic, TERROR TRAIN is a contemporary reimagining that follows a group of college seniors aboard a party train which soon descends into chaos as a masked killer wreaks havoc on the rails.

Produced by Incendo, this contemporary reimagining of the 1980 cult classic follows Alana (Robyn Alomar, “Utopia Falls”) and a group of college seniors who board a party train for a Halloween-themed bash, but their fun spirals into fear as attendees are killed off one by one by an unknown killer. Concealed by costumes and plagued with chaos, everyone is a suspect. As the party train continues full steam ahead, Alana must race against the rails to find the killer before she becomes the next victim. Tim Rozon (“Wynonna Earp”) also stars in this remake written by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin (“Slasher”), directed by Philippe Gagnon (“Amber Alert”), and executive produced by Graham Ludlow (“Talent Drivers”), Shari Segal (“The Christmas Checklist”) and Brook Peters (“The Christmas Checklist”). 

  • LIGHTS, CAMERA, MURDER: SCREAM (launching October 26)

This two-hour documentary goes behind the scenes of one of America’s most beloved horror movies, “Scream,” to uncover the shockingly true story of serial killer Danny Rolling.

An aspiring socialite wakes up after a night of partying to her new friend asking her to help get rid of a dead body.

Upcoming Films Include a New Adaptation of Hans Holzer’s Novel “The Amityville Curse” and Original Horror Film “Marry F*** Kill” from Ian Carpenter & Aaron Martin

SAN FRANCISCO September 13, 2022 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv) announced today at Content Canada that it will expand upon its collaboration with Incendo on an upcoming slate of projects that includes a new film adaptation of Hans Holzer’s THE AMITYVILLE CURSE and an original horror film, MARRY F*** KILL from Ian Carpenter & Aaron Martin (“Terror Train”). THE AMITYVILLE CURSE is currently in pre-production and scheduled to film in Montreal, Canada. Production is already underway in Montreal on MARRY F*** KILL.

“With the anticipated launch of the Tubi Original TERROR TRAIN right around the corner, we’re pleased to share that we’re already building upon our content creation partnership with Incendo,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration and working with fantastic Canadian filmmakers and talent on an exciting reimagining of THE AMITYVILLE CURSE and our new original, MARRY F*** KILL which mixes elements of ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘Euphoria’ in its captivating script.”

In the new adaptation of Hans Holzer’s novel “THE AMITYVILLE CURSE” – the film will be a modern take on the ever popular franchise with a fictionalized story that remains true to the novel. Further ensuring an authentic approach, Incendo has secured the underlying rights to Hans Holzer’s titular original novel from the estate. The film is being adapted by Dennis Heaton (“Motive”) and directed by Éric Tessier (“You Will Remember Me”), with Graham Ludlow (“Terror Train”), Kaleigh Kavanagh (“Terror Train”), Brook Peters (“Terror Train”) and Shari Segal (“Terror Train”) executive producing alongside fellow author and Hans Holzer’s daughter, Alexandra Holzer, whose contribution to the film pays tribute to continuing the authenticity and legacy of her father’s work.

The original film “MARRY F*** KILL” sees five estranged college friends reunite to attend their friend’s funeral after her shocking suicide. Scarred by a past betrayal that led to the ultimate demise of their friendship, an innocent game of Marry F*** Kill spawns into something far more sinister than they could have imagined. Led by an all Canadian cast, the film stars Jedidiah Goodacre (“Descendants”), Maxine Denis (“Party of Five”), Robbie Graham-Kuntz (“Utopia Falls”), Cynthia Jimenez-Hicks (“From”), Deanna Jarvis (“Beauty and the Beast”), and Devin Cecchetto (“The Craft: Legacy”). “MARRY F*** KILL” has attracted the multi-award nominated director Caroline Labrèche (“Rule of 3”) and was written by Ian Carpenter (“Terror Train”) and Aaron Martin (“Terror Train”). The film will be produced by Graham Ludlow and Kaleigh Kavanagh (“A Love Yarn”); with Executive Producers Ludlow, Brook Peters, and Shari Segal.

Tubi is currently getting ready to launch is first collaboration with Incendo, TERROR TRAIN, which was shot in Montreal and will premiere on October 21st as part of the platform’s successful annual month-long Halloween-inspired genre celebration, “Terror on Tubi.” The new TERROR TRAIN adaptation, produced by Incendo, is set to thrill horror fans who have been clamoring for a remake of the 1980 cult classic for years.

At its 2022 NewFronts presentation, Tubi revealed it is doubling-down on content and debuting more than 100 new original titles over the next year. Tubi is cementing its commitment to original content, giving audiences more of what they love, including horror and thrillers, throughout the year.

Wildly Original Series to be Executive Produced by Blink-182 Frontman Tom DeLonge and Cartel Entertainment

SAN FRANCISCO, August 15, 2022 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv) today announced that it has greenlit the adult animated series, BREAKING BEAR. Created by Julien Nitzberg (“The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia”) and produced by Cartel Entertainment (“Creepshow,” “Twelve Forever,” and “Day of the Dead”) and Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars Media (“Monsters of California,” “Unidentified”), BREAKING BEAR parodies the tropes of mobster dramas, comically combining elements of Yogi Bear with “The Sopranos.”

BREAKING BEAR follows the escapades of three bear siblings who decide they have to start selling drugs in order to raise money and save their home after gas companies start fracking next to their cave. The bears soon enlist other forest animals in a scheme that will pit them against oil companies, The Russian Mafia, local Hell’s Angels and polar bears who hate anything that isn’t white.

“When The Cartel pitched a series with cartoon animals as mobsters, I knew it was an offer I couldn’t refuse,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “This is the perfect project to expand our adult animation offering after the stellar success of THE FREAK BROTHERS, cementing Tubi as a destination for adult humor.”

BREAKING BEAR is executive produced by Tom DeLonge (“Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker”), Stan Spry (“Creepshow,” “Day of the Dead”), Jeff Holland (“Creepshow,” “Day of the Dead”), and Eric Woods (“Creepshow,” “Harland Manor”). Julien Nitzberg also serves as an executive producer and showrunner.

Julien Nitzberg is best known as the producer and director of the documentary feature “The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia” (produced by Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine). In the world of theater, Nitzberg wrote and directed the controversial comic operetta “The Beastly Bombing or A Terrible Tale of Terrorists Tamed By The Tangles Of True Love,” winner of the LA Weekly Theater Critics Musical of the Year Award, and most recently the acclaimed musical “For the Love of a Glove: An Unauthorized Musical Fable About the Life of Michael Jackson As Told By His Glove,” which will open in 2023 in Los Angeles with Stacey Sher attached to produce. Nitzberg was a producer and writer on Cinemax’s animated series “Mike Judge Presents Tales From the Tour Bus.” He has also written scripts for HBO, Showtime, Amazon FIlms, TNT, USA, IFC, Paramount Studios, CBS Studios and NBC.

Tom DeLonge is an award-winning producer, director, author, researcher, multi-platinum recording artist and entrepreneur, originally known for his songwriting and vocals as Blink-182’s front man. Today, DeLonge dedicates his time to his entertainment and media company, To The Stars Media, as well as his band Angels & Airwaves. During his diverse career, DeLonge has written, directed and produced feature films, animated shorts, episodic series and music videos, including the animated short “Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker,” which won best animation at the Toronto International Short Film Festival and the feature film “Monsters of California,” which will premiere later this year.

Today, Shaw TV customers now have instant access to live and on-demand content, which includes Tubi’s comprehensive library of award-winning movies and hit television shows, alongside Tubi Originals, including CORRECTIVE MEASURES, starring Bruce Willis and Michael Rooker; TITANIC 666, starring AnnaLynne McCord and Keesha Sharpe; and recently launched documentary SINS OF THE FATHER: THE GREEN RIVER KILLER. SAN FRANCISCO and SANTA MONICA, CA, June 14, 2022 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), FOX Entertainment’s free ad-supported streaming service, today announced it has entered an exclusive multi-year slate deal with global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B) to become the premier AVOD home to 30 new feature films. The partnership also includes more than 200 Lionsgate fan-favorite titles that will be added to Tubi’s popular library. 

Now available on Tubi is “Shattered,” starring John Malkovich, Frank Grillo, Cameron Monaghan, and Lily Krug, with “Pursuit,” starring John Cusack and Emile Hirsch, coming to the service on June 27 and “Wolf Hound,” starring Trevor Donavan, James Maslow and Michael Wayne Foster, coming to the service this fall. These films will join additional soon-to-be announced star-driven titles that include such talent as Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Anna Paquin and Martin Lawrence.

An action thriller starring Academy Award Nominee John Malkovich (“Red”) and Frank Grillo (“Avengers: Endgame”), “Shattered” follows lonely tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”) who encounters charming, sexy Sky (Lily Krug, “Every Breath You Take”), and passion grows between them. When he’s injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Sky’s odd behavior makes Chris suspect that she has more sinister intentions, especially when Sky’s roommate is found dead from mysterious causes.

  • “Pursuit”exclusively free to stream beginning June 27

John Cusack (“Grosse Pointe Blank”) and Emile Hirsch (“Into the Wild”) star in this action thriller about a tough cop’s hunt for an even tougher criminal. Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway (Hirsch), a ruthless hacker desperate to find his wife, who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes police custody, Breslin joins forces with a no-nonsense female cop to reclaim his prisoner. But is Calloway’s crime-boss father (Cusack) somehow involved in this explosive situation?

Starring Trevor Donavan (“90210”), James Maslow (“Big Time Rush”) and Michael Wayne Foster (“Embattled”), and based on the real-life Nazi program KG 200, “Wolf Hound” chronicles the story of a Jewish-American pilot shot down behind enemy lines. With little more than his wits and a sidearm, he must outsmart a brilliant enemy, rescue his captured crew, and foil a plot that could change the course of the war.

Over the past year, Tubi delivered explosive growth, with 51 million active users announced last quarter and a record-breaking 3.6 billion hours watched in 2021, a 40% Year-over-Year increase in total viewing time (TVT). As the fastest-growing AVOD service in terms of consumer awareness,* Tubi delivers diverse, massive and incremental audiences at scale.

Tubi has seen double-digit growth in all audience segments over the past year — with the most growth among college educated and affluent demos, placing Tubi on par with U.S. national averages. With an average viewer 16+ years younger than non-streamers, Tubi’s audience is nationally representative across geographic, economic and educational segments, and includes a large multicultural audience, comprising 40% of its user base.

Following a record-breaking year, Tubi is cementing its commitment to original content, giving audiences more of what they love, including Black Cinema, thriller, horror, sci-fi, romance and adult animation genres; and also providing a new opportunity for brands to integrate early during the development of its originals slate. SAN FRANCISCO – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), a division of FOX Entertainment, today announced that they’re working on an expansion of its current integration with Nielsen that will allow for enhanced and comprehensive measurement through Nielsen’s Digital Ad Ratings (DAR) product. As part of this integration, measurement of Tubi will expand coverage of streaming devices, including computer, mobile and connected TV (CTV) inventory served on specific CTV devices. Tubi’s integration with Nielsen DAR will advance advertiser need for third-party measurement in the fast-growing ad-supported OTT space, with measurement and transaction in line with traditional TV audiences. Tubi’s expanded relationship with Nielsen will include co-viewing measurement and allow for buying target audiences across its library of over 40,000 movies and television series.

With the proposed Nielsen DAR integration on Tubi, brands can now leverage deeper contextual insights and align brand objectives with the thousands of movies and television titles audiences consume. Additionally, advertisers will be able to better understand the demographic and interest-based attributes of an audience.
