Culpo will be joined by special correspondents including Emmy© Award-winning media personality Rocsi Diaz; New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan; influencer Taylen Biggs and NFL Fashion Editor Kyle Smith on the carpet. The excitement for the TUBI RED CARPET AT SUPER BOWL LIX kicks off with red carpet interviews featuring former players, celebrities, and influential figures. The TUBI RED CARPET AT SUPER BOWL LIX will also be packed with segments that bring the magic of New Orleans to life. Influencer Chris Olsen will conduct man-on-the street interviews with fans and locals on Bourbon Street to capture the energy and excitement of the city leading up to kickoff. In addition, fans will go along for the ride with Olivia Culpo as she learns how to make the infamous “Hurricane” Cocktail at the legendary Pat O’Brien’s; takes a ghost tour in the French Quarter with model Nicole Williams English, and rolls up her sleeves at NOLA Culinary School with chef Emeril Legasse and son EJ to make BBQ shrimp.

The Tubi Original Movie Premiered on the Platform In Nov. at No.1 in the US & Canada, Drawing the Biggest Number of Viewers of any Title in its First Week

SAN FRANCISCO, February 5, 2025 Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service,, today announced it has greenlit a yet to be titled sequel to its wildly successful Tubi Original, SIDELINED: THE QB AND ME with its stars Noah Beck and Siena Agudong set to reprise their roles as “Drayton” and “Dallas” respectively. Justin Wu will also return to direct, with Thunderbird Entertainment’s Great Pacific Media, Marshall Arts and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios producing. Blue Fox Entertainment is the international sales agent for the sequel and will launch sales on the title at the European Film Market in Berlin next month. 

Based on Wattpad sensation “The QB Bad Boy and Meby Tay Marley, the sequel will focus on freshman star quarterback Drayton (Noah Beck) as he struggles with the weight of expectations after a devastating setback, while dancer Dallas (Siena Agudong) begins to question the future she thought she wanted. As their high school relationship begins to unravel under the pressures of distance and self-discovery, they’ll learn that the bravest versions of themselves emerge when they let life redirect them.

In its first week, SIDELINED: THE QB AND ME held the #1 spot in both the US and Canada on Tubi. In both markets, the movie drew the biggest number of viewers of any title on Tubi in its first seven days and also brought in the most new viewers for a title to date. The movie also landed at number five on Variety’s Streaming Originals Chart, the week of Friday, December 6th. 

The yet to be titled sequel will be produced by McKenna Marshall, Adam Wescott, Maxwell Mitcheson, Lindsay Macadam and Jason Fischer, and Wattpad WEBTOON Studios’ Aron Levitz, David Madden and Jason Goldberg.  James Hunstman, Lisa Gutberlet, Kalani Dreimanis are executive producing for Blue Fox Entertainment, and David Way, Tony Chung and Lori Massini are executive producing for Thunderbird Entertainment’s Great Pacific Media alongside Noah Beck, Siena Agudong, Crystal Ferreiro and Justin Wu.

Tubi Surpasses 97 Million Monthly Active Users and 10 Billion Streaming Hours in 2024

Tubi offers the world’s largest collection of movies and TV episodes, including over 300 exclusive originals, engaging fandoms with a fun and easy viewing experience across connected televisions, mobile devices, the web and more. 

“Tubi’s momentum is growing as audiences increasingly value a premium entertainment experience that is also 100% free, fun and reflective of culture,” said Anjali Sud, CEO of Tubi. “Our strategy is simple yet powerful: put viewers first by offering unique stories from unique storytellers, a vast selection of content to choose from and a delightful experience across devices. More than 95% of viewing on Tubi is on demand movies and TV shows. Over thirty-four percent of Tubi viewers are between the ages of 18-34, over half are Gen Z or Millennials and nearly half are multicultural, while 77% report not having cable, according to the November MRI Cord Evolution Study. Tubi has been resonating with these audiences as it expands its programming to feature exclusive Tubi Originals, an extensive library of premium licensed and acquired titles, content partnerships with independent distributors and with the launch of Stubios, its fan-fueled studio that puts the power to greenlight content in the hands of fans.

Exclusive content has been gaining adoption on Tubi with nearly 1 in 4 viewers watching a Tubi Original. The young adult romance, SIDELINED: THE QB AND ME, premiered in November and brought in more viewers of any title in Tubi’s history in its first week and the most new viewers for any Tubi title ever. In the last six months, six Tubi Original films hit Variety’s Streaming Originals Chart, which ranks the most-watched streaming originals every week based on data sourced from Luminate.

SAN FRANCISCO, December 18, 2024 – Tubi (www.tubitv.com), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced it will begin broadcasting Liga MX and Liga MX Femenil matches live in Mexico and Central and South America (Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama) for free in 2025. 

The new partnership will give millions of soccer fans across the region access to top-tier live Liga MX matches, Mexico’s premier professional football league, directly on Tubi across web, mobile, and all major connected TV devices. This initiative represents a major shift in sports broadcasting in the region, making top-tier domestic soccer accessible to all viewers for free on Tubi.

A full schedule of Club León and Club Pachuca Liga MX and Liga MX Femenil home matches on Tubi will be available in the coming weeks. The first game available to stream on Tubi in Mexico and Central America will be the highly anticipated matchup of León vs Pachuca on February 5, 2025. 

The “Tuzos” of Pachuca are one of the most successful teams of the last 25 years in Mexico, known for their achievements both in domestic and international tournaments. One of the oldest clubs in the Americas, they have won seven Liga MX titles, six CONCACAF Champions Cup titles, the 2006 Copa Sudamericana, the 2007 North American SuperLiga and one FIFA Derby of the Americas of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

With a long history and as a source of pride for Mexican soccer, Club León won their first-ever CONCACAF Champions League title in 2023, establishing themselves as a powerhouse in international competitions. They have won eight Lig MX titles, the Apertura in 2013, the Clausura in 2014, and Guardianes 2020. After winning the League and the México Cup in 1949, the club became the first Mexican campeonísimo.

SCORES No. 1 SPOT ON TUBI IN THE US & CANADA 

The Tubi Original Draws Biggest Number of Viewers of any Title in its First Week

 

SAN FRANCISCO, December 9, 2024 Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced its recent Tubi Original, “Sidelined: The QB and Me” is #1 in both the US and Canada since its premiere on Friday, November 29th exclusively on Tubi. In both markets, the movie has drawn the biggest number of viewers of any title on Tubi in its first seven days and has also brought in the most new viewers for a title to date. In its first seven days, the movie was viewed by 17.9% of total viewers in the US and 19.9% of total viewers in Canada. The movie also maintained the #1 spot in total viewing time in the US (out of 250,00 movies and TV episodes) through its first week and remains number one in total viewing time in Canada (out of over 170,000 movies and TV episodes). 

 

On Friday, December 6th, “Sidelined: The QB and Me” landed at number five on Variety’s Streaming Originals Chart, which ranks the most-watched streaming originals every week based on data sourced from Luminate’s Film & TV Streaming Viewership (M) product. Additionally, the movie boosted Tubi to the number one spot in Entertainment “Top Free” Apps, leading to a correlated lift in Apple App Store downloads last week by over 240% percent in the US and 400% in Canada. 

 

Based on Wattpad sensation “The QB Bad Boy and Me” by Tay Marley, Dallas (Siena Agudong), a burdened but headstrong dancer, is determined to get into the best dance school in the country—her late mother’s alma mater. But that dream is suddenly derailed when the cheeky yet secretly grieving high-school heartthrob, Drayton (Noah Beck), crashes into her life with a unique story of his own. Will the two of them grow into their dreams together or will they be sidelined?

 

The film stars Siena Agudong, Noah Beck, Drew Ray Tanner, with Deborah Cox and James Van Der Beek. Based on the Wattpad YA sensation The QB Bad Boy and Me by Tay Marley. Directed by Justin Wu (Syfy’s “Reginald the Vampire,” CBC’s “Kim’s Convenience”) from the teleplay by Mary Gulino (Amazon’s “Upload”) and Crystal Ferreiro (Disney’s “Diary of a Future President”). TUBI AND THE BLACK LIST ANNOUNCE FINALISTS 

 Five Projects have been Selected as Part of the First-of-its-Kind Partnership with the Black List to Discover New Stories With Diverse Audience Appeal

 

SAN FRANCISCO, November 26, 2024 – Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced the finalists in a first of-its-kind partnership with The Black List. Originally titled the “To Be Commissioned” Initiative – the partnership was established to discover fresh, new stories from both emerging and established writers. The initiative drew approximately 2,000 submissions out of which five finalists were selected. Each script has been selected for further development with the goal of greenlighting to production and distribution by Tubi. The Black List would executive produce the films.

The five finalists (in alphabetical order) are as follows:

  • All Things Considered by James Choi. After an overdose sends Paul to the hospital, his spirited Korean-American Mother, So-Ri, is determined to reconnect with her son and help him with his depression through an exotic South Korean ritual that promises to deliver people from their despair.
  • Marigold Paradox by Monisha Dadlani. A couple’s elaborate wedding weekend is jeopardized when their future selves travel back in time to stop the matrimony.
  • Frankentits by Ellen Meiser. From the shitty and the funny to the lonely bits, an imaginative millennial grapples with breast cancer. Will she reject life or embrace every single part of it?
  • The Chicken Murders by Nadia Osman. Based on the true story of Zankou Chicken, the son of a dysfunctional Armenian family flees the Lebanese Civil War with his “loved” ones to open a chain of successful chicken restaurants in LA — but ambition, greed, and trauma tear the family apart, leading to betrayal, revenge, and murder.
  • Pick Me Up by V.P. Walling and Mark Skeele Wilson. A gay pill-addicted gynecologist and a Queer out-of-work, out-of-shape, out-of-chances comedian set off on a road trip to rehab, and find recovery in each other.

About the Writers

James Choi has extensive experience spanning Hollywood and the independent film scene in Chicago. Throughout his career, he’s produced two critically acclaimed films, Made in China, which received the Grand Jury Award, and Saint Frances, which won the Audience Award at South by Southwest. The films were distributed by IFC Films and Oscilloscope Laboratories, respectively. Saint Frances also garnered nominations for two Gotham Awards and the John Cassavetes Award at the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards. In 2017, he founded Indie Studio, a platform designed to provide financing and support to DePaul University students keen on directing and producing feature independent films. The latest feature to come out of Indie Studio, Waiting for the Light to Change, recently won the Grand Jury Award for Best Feature at Slamdance in 2023 He is a member of the independent film community in Chicago, committed to mentoring and collaborating with emerging filmmakers. His aim is to tell timely stories through innovative formats that explore the intersection of truth and imagination, blurring the lines between what is real and what is possible.

Monisha Dadlani is a New York City-born, Los Angeles-based multi-hyphenate with an affinity for grounded magical realism, coming of age narratives, and all things romance. An alum of Ron Howard & Brian Grazer’s Imagine Impact, her feature The Boy Who Died placed on the 2020 Black List. Previously, she was a writer for Netflix’s feature animation division and has written on projects for Sony Pictures Television, MRC, and Apple TV+. Currently, she’s adapting two books for Amazon MGM. 

Nadia Osman is an Arab-American writer and performer from Southern California. The daughter of an Egyptian Muslim immigrant raised in a dual-religious household, Nadia’s work aims for what she calls “funny-sad,” exploring themes of identity, mental health, trauma, grief, and complex family dynamics. Nadia is an Academy Nicholls Fellowship semi-finalist, Black List Features Lab alumni, Slamdance Finalist, and more for various film and TV projects. She is currently developing a horror feature with Eddie Rubin at Optimistic Pictures. Previously, Nadia wrote for the animated series Hero Inside, while her pilot and web series Depressed was a Vimeo Staff Pick and praised by Vulture. She’s also an alum of the Maude and Digital sketch teams at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles. 

Ellen Meiser grew up in Alaska. She pens stories that explore the humor of survival. Her screenplay, FRANKENTITS, for example, is a comedic processing of a 30-somethingʼs trek through breast cancer. In addition to screenwriting, Ellen is a social scientist with a new book titled Making It: Success in the Commercial Kitchen out now with Rutgers University Press.

V.P. Walling is a  Florida-raised, U. of Michigan-educated writer-actor, who works in Hollywood, New York, and London. In addition to acting (Blindspot; Manscaped spokesperson), V.P. has been a creative executive for Andrew W. Marlowe’s Thornhurst, associate producer (Terri Edda Miller’s Dysenchanted; Green Day’s American Idiot on Broadway), copywriter of film and television titles & taglines, and various other side gigs and hustles. V.P.’s solo screenplay SKULK (2024 Austin Film Festival), inspired by working and living in the infamous Dakota building during the pandemic, is making the rounds, as are stage play PROJECTOR (2020 Screencraft Finalist) and original musical GERUND: THE MUSICALIZING, featuring music by Chris Trapper. V.P. also co-authors the Gen-X romantic comedy series K.I.T. with Marie Williams.

Mark S Wilson survived testicular cancer, social media, and a decade in rural Alaska, and  is now living his best life as a queer writer and educator in LA. He’s written and directed short films showcasing both dramatic and camp sensibilities and premiering at festivals across the country. His essay “Me and a Gun” appeared in The Los Angeles Review and became a catalyst for his move to LA, where he earned an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA in 2020.
